I saw the lord

We have seen the Lord; have you seen the Lord? There can be doubt and unbelief in the heart of man when he has not seen what others have seen. Let’s check Luke 24: 1-11; in this account, the Bible talks about the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ after his burial in the sepulchre. The Bible recorded that on the third day which is the first day of a new week, some women who were at the sepulchre to anoint the body of Christ to their surprise on getting there, they found the sepulchre opened. They rushed closer to see what was going on, it was a shock to observe that the body was not in the tomb again. This brought fear in them and perplexity. Moreover, they saw a celestial being at the sepulchre who asked them “Why do you seek the living among the dead?” My brother and Sister, are you still looking for the living among the dead today? Are you running after the world by saying you are looking for GOD?

Have you allowed perplexity to overshadow you and made you forget what He told you before now? YES, the world is changing and our generation is different from their generation, there was no internet, nor Social media invention in that generation, but let me tell you this that His words have never changed, it is the same yesterday, today and forever.

Now let’s consider vs 6-11

6 He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee,
7 saying, ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.'”
8 And they remembered His words.
9And returned from the sepulchre, and told all these things unto the eleven, and to all the rest.
10 It was Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and other women that were with them, which told these things unto the apostles.
11 And their words seemed to them as idle tales, and they believed them not.

Do you remember His words that he had spoken unto you? Because they are important for your understanding and victorious living in this present hour. Let me bring this to your hearing that it is the volume of God’s Words in you that can sustain you at this present hour. When Mary brought the good news about the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, the apostles couldn’t believe the saying because it looked like idle tales in their heart. That is the way it will be for everyone that doesn’t have personal experience with the Lord.

When you have a true contact with the Lord, you will be transformed. When Isaiah saw the Lord, he discovered that his tongue was unclean, he lived with the people of an unclean tongue and that he needed cleansing and purification of his tongues. After transformation, he was ready to run the heavenly call upon his life. I say this to you that no unclean man can obey the heavenly call over their life.

So my dear brother and sister desire to seek after God, and ensure you see Him.

Prayer point

  • Pray that God will lead you to situations that will usher you into His Presence.
  • Pray that God will reveal yourself to you in His Presence.
  • Pray that God will transform and purify you.
  • Ask for the grace to carry out His assignment

It Pays to Serve Jesus

It pays to serve Jesus, I speak from my heart,
He’ll always be with us, if we do our part
There’s naught in this wide world can pleasure afford;
There’s peace and contentment in serving the Lord.

CHORUS

I love Him far better than in days of yore
I’ll serve Him more truly than ever before,
I’ll do as He bids me, whatever the cost,
I’ll be a true soldier; I’ll die at my post.

And oft when I’m tempted to turn from the track,
I think of my Saviour, my mind wanders back
To the place where they nailed Him on Calvary’s tree.
I heard a voice saying, “I suffered for thee.”

A place I remember where I was set free,
‘Twas where I found pardon, a heaven to me.
There Jesus spoke sweetly to my weary soul,
My sins were forgiven, He made my heart whole.

How rich is the blessing the world cannot give,
I’m satisfied fully for Jesus to live;
Though friends may forsake me and trial arise,
I am trusting Jesus, His love never dies.

There is no one like Jesus can cheer me today.
His love and His kindness can ne’er fade away,
In winter and summer, in sunshine and rain,
His love and affection are always the same.

Will you have this blessing that Jesus bestows,
A free full salvation from sin’s bitter throes?
O come to the Saviour, to Calvary flee,
The fountain is opened, is flowing for thee.
